How do you get ahead in life? Where do you invest your well earned money? It is a question that I am being asked on a regular basis these days as people have lost money through investing in shares, managed funds and lately as we all know investment companies. The more conservative people say leave your money in the bank, however if you calculate the tax and factor in inflation you don’t get the greatest return on your money long term. Investing in property is still the most preferred investment option for New Zealanders and with good reason. History has shown that anyone who has owned a home would have seen their property rise over the years and statistics show property has out performed most other investment options, with less risk. There is no denying that people have lost their confidence to invest and are looking for more certainty. What better option is there than an investment property with a government guaranteed 10 year lease with a right of renewal for a further 5 years? Zero vacancy!!! The properties are professionally managed and better still the rents are reviewed every year and they are based on market rents. Investing in property is not as complicated as you may think and if you talk to the right people and get the best advice I know that there are a lot of benefits to be gained by investing in the right property. Have a fantastic weekend and Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there, especially to mine.
