Isn’t it nice to read articles on the good things that are happening in this city? I really enjoyed reading the story in ‘The Press’ on the Rowley Street School and the success of their basketball team, thanks to those people who donated to their new basketball court. This week the article on James Kelso who had battled through his brain tumour with such a positive outlook on life. Long may these positive stories continue! The other good news of course is the OCR rate dropping which hopefully will allow interest rates to come down. Even though it is a long weekend, our award winning show homes will be open for you to view. If you are going to be building it will be well worth your while to have a look at the best show homes in Christchurch; they were recently judged first and second in the ‘Master Build House of the Year’ competition. For those of you who don’t want the hassle of building and would like to move into a completed new home, I have a number of ‘Turnkey’ homes in great locations throughout Christchurch for you to have a look at. Enjoy your long weekend if you are lucky enough not to be working. I am sure you all deserve a break! Good luck to the Canterbury rugby team.
