Three weeks to Xmas and I find it hard to believe it’s that time of the year again; the year has certainly flown by. It’s always a fun time and a nice time with plenty of Xmas functions and people enjoying themselves. I was in town last Saturday night and it was great to see everyone heading to Hagley Park for the Xmas in the Park festivities. As a company we also take the time to look after and thank those people and companies who have helped us during the year. Last Friday we had ‘The Ladies Day Out’ lunch, Mrrietta Horncastle took a number of ladies out for a fantastic lunch and I understand they had a great day. Yesterday was also a fantastic day as we took a large number of men on the annual Horncastle Homes builder’s day trip. It’s a great day as I and other Horncastle staff get to take our key builders, sub-contractors and suppliers on a mystery bus trip which culminates in the presentation of two very sought after trophies; ‘The Builder of the Year’ and ‘The Sub-contractor of the Year’. Congratulations to Airtech on winning the ‘Horncastle Sub-Contractor of the Year’ award and to Neville Hart on winning the ‘Horncastle Builder of the Year’ award. To the rest of the guy’s, thank you for your efforts during the year and contributing to a fantastic day. I wish everyone a great weekend and I hope your Xmas shopping is going well.
