Bastille Day in France tomorrow and tonight it's time for the AB's to do battle with the Springbok's at Jade Stadium. Go the AB's!! Generally when there is a big game on in town we get an enormous amount of out of towner's visiting our show homes. It's a great opportunity for them to see the type of homes we build in CHCH. However, I know what's going to happen; people come out, fall in love with our designs and then ask “do you build outside the Canterbury area?”When I give them the answer, “no,”some of them get very frustrated with me. It's not the fact that we don't want to, it's the old cliché that we just can't be everything to everybody. The reason we have made the decision is really two fold. One - we struggle to keep up with the demand for our houses here in Canterbury and two - if we did build outside of Canterbury, would the quality of the homes be as good as they are here? As a company we just can't afford to risk the reputation that we have built up here in the Canterbury area, excuse the pun! To end on a happy note I want to wish my Mother a happy 70th birthday!
