2nd February '08
We really are into the New Year with January slipping by so quickly. This week I spent a few days at our show homes talking to people who were struggling with the question of what type of home they should be buying or building. It really got me thinking again about people’s priorities when home-buying. The best advice that I can give you is that you all have different needs depending on what stage you are in life. Each of us has needs that vary according to your age, geographical location, family & financial circumstances & sometimes even the size of your possessions. The great thing is to be aware of them, list them & – unless you’re extremely well off - prioritise. You should also learn to be ruthlessly realistic about your needs & flexible on your want’s. How many people buy homes with more bedrooms than they require, how many people buy or build huge homes with huge gardens that they don’t have the energy to look after? The one thing I do know is that when Horncastle Homes is designing house & land packages, we take all of the above into consideration so that we can meet what the market wants. I’m sure that most of the time we get it right, but then whoever said buying a home was easy? Have a great weekend.
